Compared to their other albums I don't listen to this one that much. It is definitely the weakest. Celestial (The Tower) though might just be my favorite song of theirs. That is one of the heaviest songs known to man.

Got around to that 2010 remaster, oh Lord. Less dirty sounding, but this album is so intrinsically heavy that clarity does not detract from the experience. Drums sounds bloody lovely

ISIS is definitely up there. Neurosis should be mentioned, and even though pain of mind is their "worst" it's still good. ISIS never released anything less than amazing tho. It'd be super hard for me to go against my bois in neurosis and the fact that they released 6 of the greatest albums ever recorded in a row is substantial but luckily I don't have choose ISIS over them or vice versa cuz gorguts exists heheh. Not a lengthy discog really (5 LPs, 1 EP and a couple demos) but literally EVERYTHING they have done has been absolutely brilliant imo. Just gotta be guts 4 me.
Wbu?

Fwiw, for the sheer quantity of life-changing material they've put out, I'd still have to take neurosis over these guys. Gorguts edges neurosis out by a hair
