"Dark Time Sunshine blows the rest out of the water. I don't get how people didn't enjoy this." probably in my top 3 releases for the year, but the album does get really samesey, and doesn't deviate much from vessel imo. i know alot of rappers have their own flows and what not, but the vocal monotony on dts albums is a bit underwhelming for me

Thought you were referring to your sister. Regardless, that's not a very appropriate term.

another hype train from sobhi; probably won't catch this one

seriously, dts is the epitome of white person rap (even more so than anything el-p affiliated, amazingly)

Never understood why people around here get so worked up against hype trains. It's nice to see a staffer that doesn't hesitate to give music he loves a high score, and it's not like he doesn't sell his argument here.

*shrugs*

^word.

also apparently there's a bunch of white sputnik staffers who plan on joining the black panthers soon

seriously though (since joshuatree never came back), why does it matter what color the people who listen to and/or make the music are?

Because if you listen to music that's meant for another race

now that's just damn disrespectful

On a side note, if we're calling out people for listening to music that doesn't match their race we should call in Recspecs.

but see it's the opposite of that, which is why it's hilarious

you've got these white kids telling other white kids not to listen to this record because only white kids listen to it

i didn't go nuts over DTS' sound on Vessel or the Onry Ozzborn album. It felt a little too slick, which made it a little too sterile sounding. I had the same problem with shit like cunninglynguists, blackalicious, and hell, even some later roots. the race of the artist doesn't come into play; it's a sound i dont dig

what ppl mean by white rap is that rap like cunninglynguists/mac lethal/immortal technique/el-p/pos/ is kind of gay
