That doesn't mean it's a bad solo by any means. He still puts ton of feeling and melody into his solos and they sound great. Also, yes he does have a solo album and it's a great piece of mainstream hard rock/metal.

There's a reason he won't solo without wah

There must be a reason why he doesn't solo without wah! It can't possibly be that he just prefers to use it and it fits the context of the music better! That'd be outrageous!

Why do guitarists even use wah anymore? It's so overused, agreed. So is distortion, tbh. All these so called master shredders need to try playing their solos with a clean tone. No chorus or nothing. Just pure guitar to amp. That's the only way you can be a pro in my eyes.

I agree that some guitarists overuse effects, but I think that in Tremonti's case, as well as plenty of other great guitarists, it's okay to use effects as long as they're used effectively. After all, the effects are there for a reason.

...a couple of faggots wahing the pentatonic scale for an hour wouldn't rule lol

...Agreed, Aso. Pretty much all the big-name master shredders are elite and can play just as well clean, but yeah hard rock and most metal guitarists suck dick without effects and distortion to cover their sloppy playing.

Tremonti is still a great player without effects. It's not like he uses as many effects you're making it out to be. You can still clearly understand what's being played.

Hey now, Mark's married and has children. He's not a faggot! Kirk on the other hand...

I know Lars is bi or gay or something so I wouldn't be surprised if he influenced his band mates.

It's a good album if you like mainstream rock from time to time
