Minnesotan quintet Motion City Soundtrack continue on their merry way & quietly deliver yet another consistent & excellent LP with their 5th album 'Go'. Dialing down both their pop & punk extremes, MCS instill an almost indie influence here, without losing any of their characteristic quirks. The catchiness remains, as do the vocal harmonies, hooky melodies & thought-provoking lyrics. And while the outfit may not reach any of their previous heights, these personal & interesting songs not only exhibit genuine maturity, but also a natural evolution for this talented band. Recommended Tracks: Timelines, True Romance, The Worst Is Yet to Come & Bad Idea.

These guys are doing a great job with their recent albums. This and My Dinosaur Life have both been great.

Ah, I thought his was great. =)
I really liked the music here. It had a good bit of variety to it but all sounded consistent.

I didn't really enjoy any song on this. There was like absolutely no ambition on this one. I mean yeah it's pop punk, but still. I absolutely hate the 2nd track, which sucks because it's in my head right now, even though I have listened to that song in weeks.

Happy Anniversary is such a great song - wouldn't expect something so emotional from these guys. The rest is pretty middling except True Romance.

"chipmunk, you're too picky with pop punk!"

This is the first time anyone's ever told me that.
