Decent album, nothing more. At this point, and I say this even considering the experimental nature of some of these songs, it seems to me Godflesh were running out of momentum. Then again, it's standard quality for the band's musical output too, so I guess it's an unrelated point to make. Whatever, still a good album. Highlights for me would be "Hunter" and "Gift from Heaven".

This album goes down the smoothest of any Godflesh release. It's just so fucking groovy.
That being said, it's still monstrously heavy. Just hurts a lot less than something like Pure or A World Lit Only by Fire.
I'm sure actually having a drummer as opposed to machines has a lot to do with it
