max how is this your highest rated ae
|
| |
I'm so used to their later sound at this point and I've had this album for so long (like a year and a half before I really got into ae) that for some reason it doesn't even feel like ae to me anymore

Album Rating: 3.5
idk this is cool and all (dael rules hard) but they have SO MUCH BETTER STUFF

Album Rating: 4.5
rotar is my jam. the feeling I get from listening to this album, is unique
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
this is really their only release that can be labeled cold/emotionless
|
| |
i disagree
songs like stud, c/pach, and gnit are definitely not cold, dark, or emotionless
this one is honestly a grower though, it took me quite a while to really fully appreciate what it was doing. all it really is is a melding of the ambient techno of amber and the glitchhop of chiastic slide.
|
| |
yeah i don't really find it that cold. i found exai to be that way though

Album Rating: 4.5
This album makes me feel a cold dark lonely night in an unknown world, but not emotionless
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
idk besides dael nothing here is really all that mindblowing. it's pretty boilerplate ae
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
the main reason i say that is most of the songs that are more melodic/emotional sound almost sterile and planned out. like the way melodies just flow on amber can be really incredible but it sounds almost like a computer synthetically trying to recreate emotion and beauty. which like from an aesthetic standpoint can work but i don't think its as interesting as their other stuff
