Quite dramatic. At least, the music is kind of joyful. Thanks for sharing, Cusman.

The part that Cusman quoted likely depicts someone who gained success in life but sacrificed his dreams for it. Moquette carpets, fake flowers, sense of power - it must be talking about an office.

Menawati that rating for I Am Snow looks interesting. I was intrigued by the artwork but didn't check

sabrutin - it's just a little album of wintry folky acoustic stuff by the woman out of Mostly Autumn (i don't like Mostly Autumn), nothing amazing but sort of gelled with me, worth a try.

I like what I heard of Mostly Autumn. I'll save it on Spotify for future inspection

@mena, about Mostly Autumn, I'm really surprised you don't like it.

I guess you haven't heard some of their best songs yet or something.

Also, I have to try ''I am Snow''. Heather Findlay has such a lovely voice.

Yesterday's show was really something. It seems I hit the mark when I said that the main singer sounds like he is about to cry in songs like the t/t... yesterday he really shed a couple of tears!

The setlist incuded this whole album plus three songs which studio version can be found on The Missing Fireflies, basically songs that didn't make it into this album back then. I especially loved "La giostra"

Oh yeah they also played the two recent songs, Mediterraneo and Lettera di un viaggiatore. Really interesting show. Basically a classic Locanda show plus the two new songs. The vocals were also surprisingly faithful to the studio, just a couple of times he seemed to struggle a little but nothing annoying. Pretty funny guy too, he sure loved to crack funny lines between songs

Damn I even didn't know that these guys were on the road. It must have been great indeed. So the singer has cried for real haha.

''La Giostra'' is arguably the best song from The Missing Fireflies. I have to refresh memory with that album. Never heard the two recent songs. Do they plan to eventually release a new album?

Seeing him sing with such heartfelt delivery to the point of shedding tears, reminiscing the past and talk about the lyrics, dedicate a song to his deceased mother, and then seeing him suddenly speak in southern dialect cracking jokes (in complete contrast to the very serious "character" you hear on the album, especially because he has a very good diction and I bet he must have studied something in theater-related places)... that's a first time.

Anyway. I don't think they'll release a new album, though I'll be glad to be proven wrong. The staff of the club we were in even reminded them to come back again next year, but the band wasn't sure at all.

Yeah La Giostra is definitely my favorite song outside this album. Though I recommend to not overlook Homo Homini Lupus. It's carried by the man that you hear singing for example around 5:45 into the Lucciole's t/t, or simply everywhere into Non chiudere a chiave le stelle

Band should have been full of nostalgia for sure. I can see you loved that experience. I wish I was there. Will listen to Homo Homini and their two more recent tracks asap.

Quite literally some of my favorite compositions in "modern" music right here. I honestly don't think "contemporary" music gets much better than this.

I have to admit that im not into the instrumentation and tonality of this record but man, the songwriting is prodigious. The musicality is on a whole new level. Arrangements are brilliant and when the album tends to become monotonous, an unexpected turn comes everytime. Great!

Dunno If i gonna rejam this soon tho.

I stand by my last comment, incredible stuff.

And also the vocal delivery and lyrics combination is just as exceptional, the singer speaks like a theater man and in some places he sounds like he is about to cry. When I went to see their final tour some years ago he actually did tear up, singing this kind of nostalgic/disillusioned parts (closer Vendesi saggezza, aka "Wisdom for Sale", even has suicidal undertones) at his much older age.
