This is an AWSOME album, its almost tied with Blackwater Park in my book, but this one appeal to me a litle more.= I though it would be my fav by far cuz I love Opeth's low sound better than their heavy sound, but i found myself missing a litle of the heavy sound and BWP has a great balance of both. This Message Edited On 02.11.07

There is not one bad song, like all the other Opeth albums. Favorite has to be In My Time of Need.

I love the first two tracks, but the rest tend to bore me after awhile. I guess I need to listen to the album more though.

I only listen to about two or three songs at a time, but those songs definitely vary between all of them.

i got this about 3 years ago, after i heard only good things about opeth (my first opeth album after many downloads), and went and picked this up ready to headbang...imagine my surprise when windowpane started and..never got heavy haha. but i was pleasantly surprised. love this album, favorite tracks are windowpane, death whispered a lullabye, in my time of need, and hope leaves. awesome stuff.

I love this album, which is pretty strange coming from a hardcore metalhead like me.

My fav. tracks are:

In my time of need

Death whispered a lullaby

To rid the disease

Hope Leaves

Funny how those are my favorites too. Except DWaL is #4 instead of 2.

Ahh... this is a great album. Akerfeldt's clean vocals are amazing throughout. And whenever i need some soft tunes to hear, i know i can always turn to this. This Message Edited On 04.22.07

Blackwater park is a great album, but it messes around a little too much. It repeats itself a lot, probably because of its length. This is just... well, better.

This is my least favorite Opeth album. Almost every song bores me to death and is overall very bland to me. And no it has nothing to do with the fact it's all very soft and melodic.

Almost every song. Meaning the ones I did like were good enough to redeem the rating. I should change it to a 3.5 though.
