I think the production holds this back tbh. Their "demo '92" has songs that were re-recorded for this, but they just sound so much better on the demo imo.
Still an amazing album though. I keep forgetting about their new one, I gotta check that soon.

Wasn't too impressed with their newest one unfortunately. While I didn't mind the shift in style and there's still some good riffs here and there, overall it didn't really leave a lasting impression. It's also way too long, it definitely did not need to be almost 80 minutes long.

80 minutes wtf? That's crazy long, I would've expected like ~40 minutes max lol. Definitely lowering my expectations, which were pretty neutral to begin with since it tends to be pretty hit or miss when bands release an album after 10+ years of nothing lol. More like a decade and a half for these guys if my math is right.
But I did just notice that they released a compilation of their demos, so I'm kind of more interested in that at the moment. I don't know if it's remastered or anything but I'm gonna give it a spin.

Yeah :/ It really could've used some trimming down, I probably would've tolerated it more if the runtime was cut significantly, but at over an hour long, it's a bit of a slog to get through.
