I love this album. I don't know what it is, because Foxy Shazam didn't have it before. But this is incredible.

I just got around to this because I had such low expectations. Shame on me.

I'm upset that I haven't seen them yet. Been a fan since like 07 and still haven't found my way to a show.

Every time I remember Foxy Shazam, I get really bummed out. This album should've been the start of something, not the end of their potential.
Why they looked at the success of this record, with all its glossy and ambitious production polished to a blinding sheen, and thought, "what if we became a super raw garage band?" is completely beyond me.
I know for a fact I have given the albums after this a listen, but I couldn't tell you a single thing about them. Yet, every song on Church of Rock and Roll still hits to this very day.
What a shame

Gonzo rules in my opinion but their recent output has been straight garbage

gonzo does not rule this was their last good one

Gonzo has two songs that I think are remotely fun, but for the most part......it completely undoes the successes of this album.
I could maybe play off its blemishes a bit more if it weren't such a sign of things to come for the band. Again, why did they think that their huge and grandiose sound would be fit for a single-take garage recording?

It’s at least on par with this, but they’re both well below the quality of their first 3.
