does anyone notice the similarities between the xylophone melody in somebody that i used to know and the baa baa black sheep have you any wool nursey rhyme?

I have to express my hate for the afore mentioned song. For the last year that song has had non-stop airplay on most radio stations. It was also every second hipsters favourite tune (resulting in many many more unwanted listens)

It's really not that great of a song. It definitely doesn't deserve the hype surrounding it.

Gotye is probably the only mainstream pop artist I actually really like and enjoy listening to. I dig 80s pop shit, and Gotye is definitely influenced by it. Plus his videos are very reminiscent of something Peter Gabriel would have done. I've been diggin' Easy Way Out and In Your Light recently. Better than Somebody That I Used to Know IMO.
