Loved The Meddler and Same Old Trip, liked the other songs but will have to listen to them a bit more.



I'm actually quite disappointed with Envy. The first two-thirds of the song felt like it was building up to something huge, which it did a brilliant job at, but then it turned out to be kind of anti-climatic because it didn't 'explode that loud', so to speak. At very least Pete should have screamed or something.

The title track, Pinata, Envy, and Clones are my favorites off of this. I need to get some more from these guys they are pretty good.

Just as I predicted the singles were the worst of the whole bunch. The other thing I hate is the mexican feel to the album, because I hate mehico.

Chevelle's albums take a few listens for me to 'get it', but this seems more open to enjoyment.

I find it confusing to compare this album with WWN (my favorite) and Sci-Fi Crimes (my least favorite) cause for me, HOTTB is right in the middle...



Good review though, would've been great one heavier song, hoping for Indifference.
