The guitar shredding here is unreal
I want to re-read the lyrics sometime, they feel like a reckoning of the band's career ups and downs

Crazy how this seemed like a fresh start for a new Riot phase only to be cursed by Moore's surgery and Reale's passing

^^Unfortunately it wasn't...
Moore had a well paid, steady job he wanted to keep, Reale's Crohn's disease wound up to near-terminal stage, this album is the epitome of "The Last Dance" for the classic lineup, even the album title declares it...

It definetly was one of their best (imo) but I do enjoy the new lineup too. Just more classic heavy metal than this one.

yeah third Riot V album will be a blast I'm sure
Catched them in a small show when they were touring Armor of Light (opening for Primal Fear I think) and they were a great time. And the singer at some point was shirtless. His long hair falling over his ripped body while he sang with high-register vocals effortlessly. No homo though

Riot under Primal Fear?
Primal Fear don't have a Thundersteel, a Privilege of Power, or even Immortal Soul under their belt.
I'm almost a 100% sure both bands were touring Germany.

I'm afraid Primal Fear sells a "bit" more. Same reason why I've seen Accept opening for Sabaton (current Accept, but still). I thiiink Twilight Force was the first band to play that night.
But at least I got Wolf Hoffmann to sign my BttW vinyl during a meet and greet in a little-but-famous record store in Milan (now defunct after covid's damages, sadly) though, which was cool. I believe it was 2017
