@ Thor: I actually support your views. For one, I love prog, but I think Rush, Queensryche and plenty of other prog bands kick the crap out of these guys. I do think DT are skilled musicians, but after a while I find their music both unoriginal and overindulgent.

"James LaBrie. His voice doesn't belong in a metal band. While he is a very good singer, he just doesn't make the band sound nearly as good as they could. His lyrics are also fairly cheesy in some parts and I can't take him seriously."
LaBrie actually didn't write any lyrics for this album other than some contributions to Take The Time. I do agree that some of the lyrics are a little cheesy but I don't think it drags the album down nearly as much as you seem to think. Good review though.
