Anthony's vocals ruin half of the songs, somebody should write the lyrics for him . On Stadium Arcadium his lyrics were better, here he's plainly dumb most of the time. Otherwise, the music is really good.

Only if you liked their previous releases. If you didn't then don't even bother with this.

Zoombinis rip. Chilis dont anymore though. Even though they got me into music, and I listened the crap out of them for many years, I'm not even sure if I'll get this.

No votes for 1.5 yet, guess I better fulfill my duty then.

In all seriousness though, what I've heard is just bleh. Though I'm sure my flatmate will be cranking this quite incessantly for awhile.

Zoombinis is some nostalgic shit. Still have all three of those games on my computer, if you can believe it.

Be funny if Frusciante came back and they had that whole thing with Californication all over again with the band bursting back into popularity.

First, like, nine tracks rock nicely.

"There’s little to no progression to be found here; the Chili Peppers spend the entirety of the album recapitulating their distinct but boilerplate sound, treading comfortably, spitting out one mid-tempo funk-rock song after another."

OK ok, we're all hungry, we're gonna get to our hot plates in a minute... if this album is so mediocre, why don't you go toe-to-toe with Kiedis on Bird Law and see who comes out the victor

Does the album art have any relation to the album at all?

Yeah no, Stadium Arcadium is still the worst thing they will ever make. This album completely kicks it's ass & gives By The Way a slight bruising. Flea's new understanding of theory, the lack of ego w/ the new guitarist have probably saved this band from the abyss. Frusciante was getting mediocre on SA anyways, people need to stop putting him on a pedestal & just go listen his solo stuff alone in their dark rooms.
