"I don't understand the hype over Pornography."

To me it's the perfect artistic expression of pain. There is literally not one happy moment on the

album and it just moves from different levels of torment. It's also not one of their catchy, yet mopey,

'failed relationship' albums either, but instead their most haunting and atmospheric. In fact, it's

probably one of the darkest pieces of music I've heard. The reason I like that is because I feel all

those feels when I listen to it which is a unique and rewarding experience.

"Listen to it completely with your door closed, windows shut, lights off, laying on your bed. Start to finish."

Was this part in response to my not getting Pornography? If it was, I can assure you I've listened to the album countless times in a variety of settings. It's just not good.

It gets a 2.5 for One Hundred Years though.

Uranium, I disagree. There are no happy moments on the album, but I don't hear any torment. I hear whining. I really wish I could get into it, because I love melancholic music. Pornography just always struck me as insincere.

Again, The Cure is one of my absolute favorite bands, and Disintegration is one of my all-time favorite albums. Disintegration seems sincere.

Damn that's cray. Robert said that at that point is his life he was irreversibly depressed.

He said something along the lines of he was either going to relieve some of his pain by recording that

album or he was going to end up committing suicide. I always felt that it came from a really dark time

in his life.

It goes best with a shitty, pessimistic day imo.
