I think Pristina edges it (no pun intended) but Pristina edges a lot of things in my book

Just A Man. Let's not forget THE FUCKING EPIC OF EPICS 'JUST A MAN'

I haven't heard AOTY yet, I have it, but haven't achieved a listen.

AotY is fairly conventional, but pretty enjoyable. Edge of the World is easily my favorite FNM album closer though.

But Pristina is just pure epicness

Classic
Album of The Year is so underrated

It's good, particularly the first half, but not quite as good as the other Patton-era FNM albums. And Pristina might be epic or whatever, but whenever Patton does lounge-style music it's pretty much perfect.

Is Underwater Love really about drowning someone in a bathtub? If so that's the coolest thing ever
|

Its about loving someone underwater.

I'm with romgsom on the ranking of FNM albums. I think Angel Dust is only slightly better than the Real Thing; but they're both pretty head and shoulders above the other two Patton-era albums. I like Album of the Year a little more than King For A Day (they're both 3's in my book though).

Angel Dust just flat out rocks man. Not a single song I don't really like (except maybe RV, but even that one's good for laughs).

To be honest, this might be my least favorite of the Patton era, but I still love it to death. Their cover of "War Pigs" is righteous. It's just sad that most people only know them for "Epic." "Surprise, You're Dead!" is so awesome. Poor Gizmo.
