To address the users asking about what makes this band better than other bands in their genre (and this has nothing to do with this particular album because it has already dwindled in appeal for me and im considering lowering my rating), ABR isn't over produced for one thing (most metalcore is). That is clearly evident by their shitty production on albums. They also slay live (tons of metalcore is shit live). Also, if you're an instrumentalist (especially a drummer) Matt Greiner slays a drum kit (the rest are talented as well). Also, if metalcore appeals to you in general, this band is good. If none of the above applies to you such as you dont see live music, you dont care what people can pull off live, if the album rules regardless of OP you dont care, and you dont play instruments, then i can see the lack of appeal. Also, I am a Christian so many of Jake's lyrics appeal to me. I also am a drummer so this band appeals to me. This band also doesn't have any shitty gimmick. They are who they are. Brent is fucking fratastic. I can see the guitars getting repetitive, as they have for me lately, but how can you say jake has stagnant vocals or whoever said something about that? The vocals on this cd are all over the place. Do you fucking have ears? sorry he didn't pig squeal but ffs... so many musical elitists on this fucking site. Thats why I dont write any reviews because you'll get your ass handed to you for your OPINION (although I agree with Dev's argument lol).
IN CLOSING, the bottom line is its fucking opinion and more people like abr than woe, is me and all that shit. Get the fuck over it.
