I love their other stuff though. I have III to VI and V is just amazing.

The Eerie Cold apparently has the guitarist from Silencer on it, i really wanna hear that record.

This is pretty damn good, just not as good as their other stuff. Definitely not black metal anymore.

I've still only heard two Shining albums.

V - Halmstad is near perfect with song structure, production, and vocals. And the out of place guitar solos rule.

I'll have to check this out.

Yeah this album is absolutely devastating. It reminds me of the worst moments of my life and that's why I think Shining are such good artists, their music manages to make you feel like shit, which is what they intend to accomplish. Kvarforth is a madman/genius. I hope someday I reach a state of mind and inner peace that lets me shelf this once and for all but life is tough man...
