Yeah the samples in Taijin Kyofusho definitely work well for what they are but I'm not a fan of samples in post-rock in general, unless it's something really interesting that makes you think and doesn't get old

I probably complained a bit much about the samples on this album, overall it's a classic record to me and they definitely fit into the tracks very comfortably in terms of sound, but I still don't know what Stanley Kubrick talking about films has to do with anything

I guess this is just a kind of strange album as a whole, cutting a song halfway and directly using a Mogwai riff as well, so I can accept it as that. An in many places random and strange collection of music but overall one of the best albums I've ever listened to for sure.
