jeez can't believe this album is actually great. Before all i've heard is their nonsense screaming wanking, just dumb shit, but this album kicks ass. There is actually good riffs and songs, not just speed for the sake of speed etc.

I love this album and it is my second favorite Slayer album. The guitar work in this album is fucking sick and Tom actually sang in this one.

This album may not be as famous or infamous as reign,n blood.....etc.But i just love the dark sound on real early slayer albums like show no mercy.Songs like fight til death and die by the sword including anti-christ are just catchy.

Probably my favorite debut in the thrash metal scene.

This is the only album I can think of where the title track is my least favorite song. It also appears to be the only song that was solely written by King without any contributions by Hanneman.

In my opinion Show No Mercy always was extreme underrated by some pseudo metal critics with comments like " Show No Mercy proved to be only a small step toward Slayer's domination of the extreme metal scene, basically amounting to a cleaned-up version of black metal stalwarts Venom". Jesus...Show No Mercy is an extreme influential and essential thrash metal record. Recorded in 1983, only a few months after Kill Em All, this album was (with Metallica's Kill Em All and Exodus live performances) the template for thousands of extreme metal bands worldwide. Songs like Evil Has No Boundaries, The Antichrist, Die by the Sword, Crionics, Show No Mercy and specially Black Magic are definitely thrash anthems. Show No Mercy was the heaviest album ever made at the time and still is one of my all time favourites.
An absolute classic.
