I usually never like clean vocals but damn, those cleans are really nice.

Yea it really does because it's not generic as hell like almost all of rise bands

The Victim is one of the catchiest tracks, but has anyone noticed how bad the lyrics are?

'The Abandoned' is my absolutely favorite off this. And I haven't payed too much to the lyrics, might do a lyrical run through tonight.

Am I the only one that just doesn't get what's so good about this album? I mean, yeah there are some pretty awesome moments (The Victim) but it doesn't really sound any different from other metalcore bands. I feel if they dropped the clean singing they would be better, I really don't see what's so special about them. Too many breakdowns, not interesting enough, they use the stutter effect way too much; I just don't get it I guess.

Shadein, listen to Sleepwalking. It might be a better fit for you. To be honest, it's essentially just
really accessible metalcore. Quantity is Their Quality is probably my favorite. Think less passion and
aggression and more catchiness and consonance.

I listened to the title track off Sleepwalking and Quantity is Their Quality and it's a lot better than anything I've heard on The Hollow.

Really cool album, just got it recently. One of the best more mainstream metalcore/post-hardcore albums. Good probably a bit better than Of Mice & Men's The Flood

I saw them last night and they put on a pretty fun show even if his cleans sounded a bit off

Every single song is so good, been addicted to this album since its release. Not many albums, especially metalcore, have that impact on me, but this and The Flood are seriously so addicting. Can't wait for the new stuff!

Its really quite awesome. Best bands on rise are:

Dance Gavin Dance

Of Mice an Men

Sleeping with Sirens

Memphis May Fire.

Agree with you on those. Palisades, a band they recently signed is pretty good stuff, pretty much like MMF but not as good. The Air I Breathe is fucking awesome. Dream On Dreamer and The Color Morale are also good but not quite on the same level. Rise is a pretty good label but they have some really mediocre bands.
