Eh I can't do that haha. I still really like it, but I was a little quick to pull the trigger on the 4.5.

You could save $40-$50 and get yourself the vinyl version of this plus have enough left over for some more music.

Not too big on vinyl Wiz.

But hey I can still get the shirt AND more music!

My friend bought Mort on vinyl while we were at the record store on Saturday. Neither of us had heard it, but for $15, eh, I think it was worth the gamble.

Ummm I'm talking about BAN's last 5 or 6 albums. I'm mostly comparing it too obZen though since the feel of the albums are strangely similar. It has nothing to do with comparing genres, only the weird ways on how the two bands create songs around unorthodox styles of writing.

That 'feel' must be far fetched then, cos Blut Aus Nord's industrial edge isn't very prominent, and I've only seen it materialising to a noticable degree on two releases: this one, and their EP Thematic. Likewise while they may have irregular structures, its nowhere to the degree of Meshuggah.

Not really going to say more since this is your (good) review and you're entitled to recommend whoever you want, but while I can see how this album can draw comparisons to obZen, if you think Liber I, MVII, Odinist, Mort, and TWWTG feel similar to meshuggah's most thrashiest album, you are severely mistaken.

The repeditive nature of the riffs and overall mechanical feel of both bands should also draw your ears to make the comparison, but whatever, to each his own. Glad you like this cause this needs more props.

This is fucking evil. Sounds like a cross between Mitochondrion and Godflesh.
