Haven't heard any other Believer, so wouldn't know how it compares, but this is pretty great.

As a fan of older Believer, I more inclined to not like this. However, after many listens, I gotta say I really do like this album.

This album is remarkably interesting... shocked and delighted to see FYE had it, but not the new Origin. I take that back... the Origin probably sold out of multiple copies, and I'll bet they only ordered one lonely copy of Transhuman

I agree. And it's official. I like this more than Sanity Obscure and more than Gabriel.

I just played through a few songs to transcribe the lyrics, and I can't seem to get into this; there are scant hooks, the music feels trapped in the same mold, and I just don't feel anything when listening to it. Clean Room is still pretty good, though.

after a few listens, this just isn't my thing. it's like they took thrash and just slowed it down, and added some weird vocals

This is a very interesting album. Might up my score. As you said, less thrashy but not less heavy. It reminds me a lot of the turn Extol took with Blueprint Dives, after Synergy. I know early Believer was a heavy influence for Extol but now I'm starting to think it's mutual.

Forgot that this band existed. I bought Gabriel for a friend a while back, though for some reason I kept it. Barely touched the thing.

Gabriel is not bad at all, needs a few spins to sink in tho

I have it at a 3. Maybe I should listen to it again at some point.

Just listened to the debut, and I think it's the best thing they've ever done
