I don't have much of a personal connection with any Foo Fighters album, except kind of with Echoes.

The Colour and The Shape is an awesome album, and I could see someone giving it higher than a 4 for sure, but it's just a 4 for me. This is their strongest album on all fronts in my opinion. But all their music is good so...

Really the problem with most of their career is they felt like they where just going through the motions and taking the magical

rockstar journey on autopilot. They really have been just ok for so long now.

hmm i really like arlandria... i think the weakest track is miss the misery. i think what makes this a 5 album in my opinion is that no one can agree what the worst song is... its because there are no bad songs!

I think they only gave a few days notice before they played a fundraiser gig for the Christchurch earthquake

I think theres a slight queens of the stone age vibe that comes here-especially with the pat smear back in the picture fully-so there three guitars to layers. the differences seem subtle but it impacts much better.

def. best foo fighters since the 90's

I can't say "White Limo is their best song to date" because this is the only full album i've heard from them. (Well, sorta. I listened to TCATS, like, once or twice several years ago. I honestly can't say i remember anything about it other than the singles.) But it's probably the best song that i've heard from them.

This actually makes me wanna go back and listen to their first 3 albums.

Holy crap. I have not dug a Foo album this much since The Colour and the Shape. That album helped define my
childhood.

Awesome review. Pos'd

Yes, definitely. Also, this is gonna sound kinda whacky, but his vocals during the verses of White Limo totally remind
me of Greg from DEP.

I can't say "White Limo is their best song to date" because this is the only full album i've heard from
them.

Listen to TCATS more.

His screams on White Limo kinda gave me a Chino-vibe.

Totally thought the exact same thing. Song is thrashy as hell.

His vocals sound a lot like Nick Oliveri in Millionaire or something.

IMO Everlong is one of the greatest songs ever written, so White Limo doesn't quite stack up.

I agree with some of the comments here. This may be their best album yet, and this is after just one listen. Every song is great, with no real "weak" song. It's one of those albums you put on and don't feel like changing after 4 or 5 songs. You want to hear damn near every second of it from beginning to end, no matter how many times you've heard the songs.

It also, I don't know how to describe it, sounds like a big album. There is alot more going on than in their previous work. Probably since Smear is back. It's going to be awesome to see this stuff performed live.

Say what you want about this band, but they know how to craft rock songs that are catchy as shit and entertain the hell out of you.
