Probably my favorite cd by DB, hands down. I've gotta admit that Mourning Palace has a special place in my heart. Great album.

For me, Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia was the pinnacle of their career. It was the perfect combination of great riffs and the keys from this. Plus, every song was somewhat unique. I wish they would put out more albums like that one.

I love all of Dimmu's albums tbh. For me this and Stormblast are their best. I would say that PEM and DCA come after those.

This is the only Dimmu album I actually enjoy. Can't get into them, for some reason. Got into Cradle after some listens, but with Dimmu I just... can't. And Shagrath annoys the hell outta me. The only time he doesn't is in his collab. with Kamelot in March of Mephisto and Memento Mori, because he barely even opens his mouth. And instrumentally... well, I feel they get repetitive after a while. Good album this is though.

It's kind of weird that you got into Cradle, but can't get into Dimmu. They're pretty similar, but oh well. At least you like this album.

Yeah it is. All these songs are fucking great. Mourning Palace will always be my favorite from this album. Actually its probably my favorite Dimmu song overall.
