I guess that comes from pop-punk not exactly being synonomous for outstanding lyrics. I know that I think you're ratings of Yellowcard albums are a bit a$$ about because of that, and extending it to poppy post-hardcore, you always mentioned that line on Emery's 'ISSWS'.
I guess the question that has to be asked about 'Terrible Things' is why you didn't pick the final part of the lyrics up on the first few listens...

Disappointing EP, adding nothing new to their sound, hoping their new album which comes out really soon i think, is a lot better coz i really like these guys

I probably agree that nothing new is added, BUT... well, refer to the concluding paragraph of the review.

"Terrible Things" makes this album! I fucking love it. The rest is good but not Mayday Parade's standard. Love them. I actually saw them like 2 and a half weeks ago. So good.

This is the best Mayday Parade release, but I dont like Mayday Parade so... Also yeah terrible things is the best track on here, reminds me of clannad afterstory which also rules.
