Attending a Bohren live show in a dark room with smoke floating and the Black Earth skull shining clearly on the kick drum is an experience I still cherish.

It's like doom jazz without the jazz hooks but the dark atmosphere is lacking too
It's not a driving through the city at night or having a cocktail album like sunset mission, but if I'm in the mood for some dark ambient I'll just listen to proper dark ambient
