The Butcher freaked me out as a kid though.

Love this game and everything Mat Uelman has done. This soundtrack is brilliant, but Tristram from Diablo I far outshines it.

I vaguely remember repeatedly killing Mephisto on Hell and switching into magic find stuff just before the kill.

Sounds boring as shit but it pretty much ruled.

I was only 11 or 12 when this came out. Played with a mate of mine on battle.net every now and then.

This was easy enough to keep in check though, compared to MMOs. Those will kill your social life faster than Rosie O Donnell clears a hot tub.
