Nah, I wouldn't call it dubstep.
Experimental electro-ambient, maybe?

they're field recordings of space and nicolas jaar's mouth making noises.
i don't think i can totally call it ambient. too many vocals/fat synths
|
| |
Just gonna re-post because I can:
It's more minimal techno with kinda shades of ambiance to it
|
| |
Yeah, that's a fair description.
|
| |
oh
dev is this hype worthy
|
| |
It's really good and all, but I wouldn't see it placing very high on an end of year list. But it does have the potential to grow, so who knows? I think it's great (obviously)

I like it quite a lot.
This definitely sounds like minimal techno, but there are some vaguely house-y elements scattered throughout as well. Really, though, it reminds me of Richard Villalobos.
|
| |
been on an ambient mood recently so im hoping this will do me good, will giv it a go hurr
|
| |
Yeah, there's a tech-y house vibe kinda tied into the mix as well
|
| |
I can see the Ricardo Villalobos similarities in some songs, but for me the comparison falls apart quite a bit as well.

Yeah, I don't want to overstate the comparison. The main similarities are superficial, namely the vocals in "Problem With The Sun".

Just compared it to James Blake because they both came out around the same period, they were both electronically, and obviously this got overshadowed.
By the way, it sounds like minimal techno with shades of house and ambience mixed in it. Mixed with awesome.

| |
I think we established that

This guy and Ezekiel Honig are REALLY similar. There are also moments on here that remind me of Pantha Du Prince and Ricardo Villalobos.
