That sucks, because I do quite like Drama.

I just didn't like anything post Close to the Edge that I tried (Tales, Relayer, Going for the One) but I might try this and Drama someday...

Eh, really the only post Going for the One releases that are even remotely worth listening to are Drama and 90125. And a lot of people don't even like 90125.

I assume 90125 is a decent 80s pop record. But it's still an 80s pop record. I tolerate and sometimes even appreciate the blend of their signature style with poppier tendencies, as in most of Drama, and songs like Changes and - a very guilty pleasure I must say - Shoot High Aim Low. Most of 90125 and Big Generator is still painful to listen to anyways

I like 90125, partially because I also really like 80's rock but they pull it off really well. And Shoot High, Aim Low is great, the only song from that album I ever actually WANT to listen to.

Big Generator just sounds like 90125 if you take away all the energy and competency.

This album has become one of the lost jewels of yes, through the years, maybe at the time it was release it was one of the worst things yes did but now it sounds like a masterpiece, especially when comparing it to how disastrous yes became through the 80's and 90's...Union, the ladder and a bit of open your eyes were not that bad though....but big generator and talk...oh Jesus....

The thing that frustrate me the most is that most of the progressive rock bands of the 70's started to experiment with pop in the 80's, except Floyd and Crimson, the one that actually manipulated well the pop influenced sound was Rush...

Great album and very underrated, agreed. Release, Release is honestly one of my favorite Yes songs

Don't like the crowd effects in the song, but yeah, a stand out track for me too.

Yeah me too. Honestly I enjoyed drama, 90125 (like everyone) but God, big generator, Talk and most of open your eyes is awful. Love the ladder and magnification though. I have mixed feelings about Union.

I actually recently discovered that I like Talk haha. Fly From Here is worth at least a spin too. To be completely honest I'd take Tormato over anything that came after, even Drama on most days
