i had a nice conversation with leonard cohen after seeing him in concert about two years ago. we were standing by
the merch stall and i asked him what he thought about the jeff buckley cover etc etc

Cool review, although 'depression-ridden' is a little ugly. The sentence could easily be reworked with 'depressed'.
