This record needs more love, I appreciate it more every time i listen

a long overdue discog binge, never listened past opposite of december for whatever reason.
very solid. botchla in particular is incredible. love that opening build. i think ptw may be the king of the breakdown. almost every one just pops and hits hard. bit more melodic than december, probably could've got that blend better but i think that is where the next one goes. also really dig the closer, they nail that clean emo sound. that one fits together really well.

BUT I ADORE HERRRRRR

Poison the Well always knew how to make the breakdown count in those early years. Even when they have em on later stuff they make an impact
|
| |
opposite of december really might be the best breakdown album ever. there's like a million of them and they all just thump. feel like that might be the inflection point to what metalcore became in the early 2000's
