You ask any old bloke and they'd say "ohhh Yes.. they aren't nearly as talented as Frank Zappa and Jon Anderson's vocals get annoying"

I like KC's In the court, but I don't really like much of their later work. This goes the same with other music of the era like Rush (but I love Pink Floyd). Should I consider getting this? or is it a lot like the other stuff I mentioned.

Yes are among the precursors of the sympho prog genre. I'd give them a chance if you like PF. 'Close To The Edge' is way up there to the top man. Sooo Epic!

Most of the Yes stuff is really good. Start with this or Fragile.

Never have been as big on Yes as on Crimson and Genesis. All the instrumentalists are fantastic, especially Wakeman and Squire, but Jon Anderson's voice gets on my nerves. He sounds a lot like Geddy Lee but far more irritating. This is still an excellent prog album. Fragile is great as well.
