Random songs of his aren't available on streaming versions, the reason is a mystery. Here's his official statement: https://www.facebook.com/amontobinofficial/posts/1365706373478482

It's a real shame to see all these songs missing. Everyone needs to hear Easy Muffin.

Yea it's strange. I guess people will have to go through his website, youtube, or go for the physical releases. This is why streaming media, even buying digital copies, is ultimately not the best route b/c the distributor ultimately always controls it & can make as much or as little accessible whenever they want, or shit like this can happen. No one can control your vinyl, CD, or even burned mp3s on the computer from those physical media unless through hacking or something.

Definitely a giant conspiracy and nothing to do with samples.

Four Ton Mantis is another victim of this streaming-service conspiracy to ruin the lives of sample-using artists by slightly adjusting tracklists.

It happens to artists who use samples all the time...

Streaming sites have programs that will process your songs for blatant samples and deny the upload if they catch anything. That's why you'll often find weird gaps in hip hop artist discogs especially.

Its not a conspiracy tho it's just a legal issue

Alternatively someone could have found the sample years after release and he may have ended up in trouble. He may have struck an agreement where he cant make money off those tracks any more.

Happened to massive attack with black milk and they got sued and couldnt include the original version on new presses for a time. They ended up working something out with the person they sampled eventually.

Oh that sucks. It's weird that Amon is claiming ignorance and doesn't seem to have been informed about it. He's a pretty big artist who has music in commercials, movies, tv, and video games so it's an odd situation in this case.

Paused for dinner, but enjoying how unoverbearing the tone is compared to Permutation so far (great as that one is)
