The texture of "Show me a sign" >>>>> "Blackbird". This so way more mature than their previous two albums. It's premature to think otherwise atleast you need to let the album grow more on you.

The way I see it, he found what works and it's still working. Even I have to admit that he grew a little tiresome in parts of One Day Remains, but since then he's perfected it, and has too much power and emotion in his voice for me to ever think of it as monotonous.
