Diamond Eyes got 5'd by staff very early but no one seemed to have a problem with that and just went along with it. For me, this is better than DE, but who cares. Opinions.

yeah i actually did find it to be overzealous, though to his credit he's been on staff for a while and he's a trustworthy rater, especially if you look a the small amount of 5's he actually has.

Yeah, definitely. Fanboy-ish, poor written reviews doesn't really back up the 5 raters very well, so I wish we can get a staffer or a better reviewer who has this as a 3.5 - 4.5 to take a shot at this.

I'm glad I finally went back and edited this. This review was kind of a low point for me I wrote it out when I was stoned and had only listened to the album for about a week. I barely edited it at all when I submitted it. Still my favorite albums of that year though.

i've heard a couple of tracks off this and their other album.



the songs off the other album were really, reeaalllllyyy Fall of Troy sounding. not a bad thing, i guess, but it almost sounded a little too much like them at times.



the stuff i've heard off this is better, but i'm not the hugest fan of the vocals. might check them out at some point, but they're not exactly a high priority on my To Listen To list.
