Never minded the production. Album is great the way it is. Doesn't need a remaster. His voice is fine here, you guys just

like to bitch, I swear.

Also I agree on Bug. Bug is my only Dinosaur Jr. 5.

I can see where people draw the conclusion that this album sounds thin, especially in the back-end. But J doesn't care about the bass, as he has said before in interviews. So without Barlow there, it makes sense why the sound changed the way it did. For me, it doesn't hinder the quality of the songs themselves, so I still quite enjoy this one.

no see it has nothing to do with the mix, its the mastering which was butchered, the album sounds like an old pre emphasis cd lol its ridiculous

Well regardless, I hear what you're talking about with this album, but it has never bothered me personally.

Production maybe, material definitely not for me. I actually prefer Without a Sound to Where You Been, even though I do prefer some songs from the latter.

Oh we're talking about Where You Been? It's okay.

I've heard their first 6 albums and its surely my least favorite. Also "Feel the Pain" isn't on the same album as "Get Me", "Not the Same" or On the Way."

"Feel the Pain" is on Without a Sound.
