Yeah this shit is super cool. Yes give it a remaster.

They were talking about it at one time weren’t they?
| | | I think Syn was just drunk the one time I’ve seen him mention it.
Which sucks, I would buy a vinyl remaster of this so quick. Even just putting it on Spotify would be enough.
I don’t think that they’re this cynical but I don’t know if they realize how much money they’re sitting on with this. Fans still go crazy over the Rev but a vast majority of them probably haven’t heard this. Just say it’s more recordings from the Rev and this mf would sell

There are some fan remasters on YT. Look up the channel moozack, he used an AI splitter to get the stems, remixed them & mastered them. The full record is on there, and he's got a link to the download too. Very good stuff.

I think that first part is the reason tbh. After all, the band were absolutely furious when Warner Bros went behind their backs to release that one greatest hits album, not to mention being really salty about HTTK in the years since its release... despite their popularity and rabid fanbase, they don't seem interested in cynical cashouts or milking the Rev's legacy at this point (and honestly, I'm kinda glad for that)

Definitely, as Nightmare & HTTK were both number 1 albums in the US. At the time, they could have easily leaned into maintaining a standard sound, between the two, releasing more in that style & they probably would have been a good chance at having had even more number 1 records. They'd have cemented themselves as a heavily bagged out but incredibly high drawing band had they capitalized on their success.
Obviously going proggy with The Stage & the release without warning or advertising, on Capitol, then LIBAD being so weird, shows how they'd rather be creative than be more successful. Likewise, I expect whatever they do next to be another swerve into a different direction. They've never been a band who kept the same sound on 2 records.
