In an April 2014 interview following the release of Anderson's solo album Homo Erraticus, Anderson announced that from that point on, he would be releasing all his music under his own name. Anderson stated that Tull "kind of came more or less to an end during the last 10 years or so", and stated his preference "in my twilight years, to use my own name for the most part being composer of virtually all Tull songs and music since 1968".

I simply love the folk atmosphere in some of the songs. The album is almost flawless

Got the Country Set today. I'm already in love with the original but I always felt that it sounded a bit too thin in places, but now it's better. Also, the bonus material is a must have. Seriously check it out, the unreleased song Old Aces Die Hard is a ~9 minutes epic and it's fantastic! The rest of the bonus material is very cool too, like the unedited version of Fire at Midnight that features a different structure. There are even 22 live tracks from 1977 during the album's tour.
Jesus it's like the best deal ever, everything comes both in CDs and DVDs with surround mixes and even video from the live shows

Wow, it looks like you got an impressive package! ''Old Aces Die Hard'' is a pretty song for sure.

I have the feeling that had this been released originally with Old Aces Die Hard and the unedited version of Fires at Midnight I would have 5'd it by now

Ring Out, Solstice Bells and Fire at Midnight are very suitable for Christmas seasons.
Really love both tunes.

Aqualung a landmark album. 5+.
This album very nice 4.0. Soltice bells reminds that summer is slowly coming and things are getting better. Love the way the chorus starts as a whisper and builds! Cap in hand is a sweet but sad story. Velvet Green & Hunting girl are simply great songs, but Songs from the wood sets the album mood & creates that magical mood that allows special albums to simply take control of your heart from beginning to end.
Thank you Mr Anderson
Ps: must be heard on vinyl

Yesteryear's Steven Wilson remix is fantastic. It's been released separately on vinyl too if anyone's interested. However if I have to be honest the vinyl version doesn't seem so appealing, because it only contains a tracklist identical to the original album... not even Old Aces Die Hard, which is very disappointing. Feels like they simply threw a bone to vinyl lovers
