Starting my Genesis journey here, conceptually I like the medieval atmosphere they're going for here more than the execution, but hopefully I come around on this eventually

I was in a record store and asked the owner what was playing cuz it's wild and he said it was this. For $12 I said hand it over. I will give it a proper listen post haste.

They have TLLDOB but I've never really given Genesis a listen, so I went with what I was hearing for now.

everything through trick of the tail is amazing except the debut

I’ve turned into Tommy Saxondale and there’s no shame in that.

I'd add W&W and arguably ATTWT to that as well

Just what I needed right now. A bit overlooked too.

Never heard this but I'm about to do a discog run. Gonna def hard apply the brakes after Wind & Wuthering tho. And apparently their debut is totally unworth hearing?

Definitely skip it imo. I love Genesis but I kind of hate that album.
|

Noted. Maybe I’ll skim later, but I’ll start here. I already know that Lamb is a masterpiece, and England + Wuthering are also superb. I remember thinking Foxtrot was overrated the one time I heard it like 15 years ago, but maybe I’ll appreciate it now more in older age
