Shredzilla- For one, if you look at the majority, I didn't just speak for it, I spoke about what I saw. When an album has a majority of 2.5-4 ratings, and 3 or 4 "5" ratings, whom do you trust? The 3 or 4 guys who consistently rate albums that aren't very good high, or the 200 other people who give the album the rating it deserves?

The sample size is borderline non-existent here. How many people have heard this album vs. How many people on this site have rated the album? The sample range is far too small by comparison to the number of people who aren't represented. Also there's no way to push any of it as fact. Just because hundreds of people here rate Opeth highly, doesn't change the fact that large numbers of people wouldn't enjoy them at all, doesn't mean either group is wrong.

Speaking as someone who hasn't actually rated the album yet, this has got to be the stupidest argument I have ever seen in my whole life. Maybe, if you explain to us WHY you gave this a 5, or a 1, or a 3.5, or whatever the hell else you gave it, we might give a shit about what you have to say about our own opinions.
