There's a few good songs, but don't go in expecting too much.

Honestly none of the songs are THAT bad. You Not Me and Burning My Soul are pretty meh but they're listenable.

"here he digresses due to him rupturing his vocal cords. '

I think "regress" is the word you are after. To digress means to change direction or topic.

Definitely one of the weaker DT albums, but It still has that classic DT feel about it.

come on guys, this album does not suck. people just dont know how to let an album grow on them. new millenium, hell's kitchen, lines in the sand, just let me breathe and trial of tears are all amazing. i think that deserves at least a 3 alone.

^ I enjoy it if I am in the right mood, but compared with the mighty Awake or Images and Words it is poor.

This sucked when I first heard it, but it definitely caught on after a few listens. Waiting for it to download fully right now.

Peruvian skies is one of the funniest songs of DT, still this album is one of the weakest.

Listening to Hell's Kitchen on headphones.

I am dying from too much epic.

It really is great. I wish they would recreate more of that atmosphere from the first half nowadays

Definitely. Lines in the Sand is awesome too. I think the riffs in the later are amazing.

Yeah the riffs are good but that chorus really gets tiring by the third time. The Organ is great on it though

Agreed. Sherinian had some nasty sounds.

I think his contributions are great overall on here. I wish Rudess would reduce his synth use on the next album and would grab an organ, wurlitzer and mellotron at the very least. A harmonium, harpischord, and lap steel would be more than welcome though

New Millenium is probably the best DT opener, maybe alongside 6:00
