"Please tell me that was a festival and not a one-off show"
it was a one-off, which is weird because fargo never gets anything good, but that night is still the best night of my life (not just because of the show, i met my girlfriend that night too, so its a pretty stacked night for me :D).
Anberlin was meh, just because of my personal preferences. TBS was dressed as mexicans and did a hat dance during Anberlin's set. and fun.'s costumes were amazing, the best being nate dressed as jamie lee curtis, dress and all. he seriously is a dead ringer for her, i was in tears from laughter.
but sadly, i didnt get to talk to any bands :/ i had a party to attend and the love of my life to meet

"Some pretty sweet live releases so far this year." I'm not usually the hugest fan of them, since they don't often do what this EP does and come anywhere near like experiencing the real thing. Can you recommend me the best of the best you are referring to Satellite.

WTF!!! That sounds like mayhem... But very fun mayhem. Sounds like it was just as much an entertaining "show" as a "concert"... The "love of your life" aspect was clearly a bonus too. "All the pretty girls on a Saturday night" indeed.

Yeah, same here tbh.
Can you recommend me the best of the best you are referring to Satellite.
The White Stripes - Under Great White Northern Lights
The Weakerthans - Live At Burton Cummings Theatre
Rx Bandits - Live at Park Ave.

That is indeed a nice trio. And after seeing RX Bandits live 2 months ago. I know how good they can be.

"'All the pretty girls on a Saturday night' indeed."
I know right? funny how things work out.
but all that aside, if there's ever a chance to see fun. with a full 6 person band, do not even hesitate to go. but really, thanks to this CD i don't think theres a wrong way to experience fun..

Was expecting something a bit more euphoric/anthemic but this is good too.

"but all that aside, if there's ever a chance to see fun. with a full 6 person band, do not even hesitate to go. but really, thanks to this CD i don't think theres a wrong way to experience fun.." It's a deal.
"Was expecting something a bit more euphoric/anthemic but this is good too. " I think it's sufficiently euphoric. Although, 'Barlights' would have definitely helped that side of things.

I hope the instrumentation isn't as stripped down when I see them live. Has anyone here been to one of their shows? Do they usually play acoustic versions of the songs?

I think if you could get half-half that would be perfect... But they may go fully one way or the other.

Absolutely not stripped down. Epic and huge sound. I've seen them three times. Amazing.

That's what I'm looking for.

Wow, I'm actually surprised as I thought they would strip down most of their set. They're probably looking to challenge themselves as much as possible.

They opened with Benson Hedges, with all 6 instrumentalists on stage
Musicians?

Saw them a couple nights ago, they were pretty awesome. Sounded better than this.

If they sounded better than this, then I now want them to come to Oz even more than I did before (which was a lot).

I think I remembered reading recently that it was in the making & would be here before year-end. Don't quote me on that though.
