I agree. I even think their first album is better than this.

I'd say they're about tied. This has more of the guitar flair than Behold does

Threnody, Bloodsmear, Singing Surrender and Descendit Ad Inferos contain some of the best melodies I've ever heard. And I've head plenty.

I love the lyrical themes of this album. I read from an interview with Chris that it was about an unnamed person traveling between planets searching for answers while paralleling Satan's fall from grace and his descent (the closer) into Hell.

Seems this album is about a 4

Fuck. I'm jamming the title song, "Threnody" and can't stop. The riffs are sooo fucking amazing.

Agreed, the title track off this was one of my favorite songs of 2010.

Strangely enough, "The Kingdom of Might" wasn't as amazing for me as people were saying. That album didn't have one quarter of the catchiness of Threnody. A 3 for me, but it may grow someday, who knows
|
| |
Damn really? Now that is definitely strange.
I could easily call that album their catchiest one by far.

Well I can't say I gave it much attention... only one playthrough. The only songs that stood out for me, though, were Golgotha and Seven Braids of Samson. The rest was just heavy playing.

Lol there are waaaay too many bass drops on this
