Somehow I'm not sure they'll listen at this point.

We should've told this to everyone who voted on the live song poll on cobhc.com.

I just got back from seeing CoB about an hour ago. Easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. They played an excellent balance of material off of all their albums, and their palying was top-notch. It was also the longest show I've ever been to - CoB alone played 20 songs. If we had gotten there when the doors opened (we were nearly 1.5 hours late, only misse dlocal bands) the entire show would've been nearly 8 hours. My neck hurts like hell, but it was all worth it.

Amon Amarth was first. They were very epic and vikinglike, which I loved. They only played about 5 songs though, which was disappointing. Overall they were still great.

Trivium was downright violent. Heafy was telling the crowd to start more pits in between every song, and they did. The entire floor (which wasn't small) was a pit, and I can't believe no one got hurt. They played a longer set; maybe 7-10 songs.

CoB was craziness. It lasted until about 2. I can't tell you how amazing it was to see them. The songs were amazing and the band was at the top of their game. For you enjoyment, here's the setlist:

Living Dead Beat

Sixpounder

Silent Night, Bodom Night

Hate Me!

In Your Face

Angels Don't Kill

Drum Solo

Bodom After Midnight/Bodom Beach Terror mix

Follow The Reaper

Needled 24/7

Guitar/Keyboard Solo (Alexi vs. Janne)

We're Not Gonna Fall

Hate Crew Deathroll

Are You Dead Yet?

-Encore-

Guitar Solo (Roope)

Chokehold (Cocked 'n' Loaded)

Downfall

Everytime I Die

I own this album now and it's pretty awesome. I'll surely get some older stuff, maybe going in backwards order and getting HCDR next.

My favourite songs so far on this album are:

Living Dead Beat

If You Want Peace... Prepare For War

Punch Me I Bleed

Bastards Of Bodom

How many pits were there during CoB?

I find that a reflection of Trivium's talent. (Don't get me wrong I like them and they have good young guitarists). I just find that a sign of a lack of something when a band "has" to tell people that.

If people like something they will go with it.

There were a few, but not nearly as bad as Trivium. They mostly moshed to heavier stuff like Sixpounder and the new songs.

It annoys me when a band tells people to get violent. It makes me think, "just play your damn music and leave the fighting to the gangs outside". It was in a bad area of Detroit, so there were plenty of gangs.

nice review, decent album. It is rather heavy, and quite catchy, but seems to be going in a new direction. but hey, its COB so its going to be good no matter what.

Yeah, if Children of Bodom makes any new form of music you'll know it's gonna be good. It just might sound different than it has in the past.

I was listening to this last night, and I think I really underrated the album. It's catchy as all hell and is almost more technical then their past work. This album is amazing.

All of my friends say this album wasn't as good as their older material because it sounds like nu-metal. I hit one of them for saying that.
