last.fm recommended this to me because I scrobbled like 400 plays of Stars of the Lid when I put them on repeat as I slept. really cool album.

Maybe this album will never be considered as an essential or classic album, but in my music world this is a very important album for me. I love that dreamy watery atmosphere. It is easy for me to listen to all 8 songs in a row and especially the first 3 songs have an atmosphere I love.
They are over 7-8 minutes long but sometimes almost too short, I want them to be even longer.
All the small details in the songs have something, sometimes they are there with you almost for the whole song and I find myself not wanting them to disappear.
I also love Submers but that one has a different atmosphere, underwater like, similar to "World Of Sleepers" (one of my all time favourite ambient albums) by Carbon Based Lifeforms but a bit darker and less like psybient.

Had to change the rating from 4.0 to 4.5 because I listened to it as whole twice yesterday and once today and finally I appreciate much more of Lake Orchard and Showers Of Ink.
also it feels like nothing can harm me or get my thoughts off it while I listen to this album. It's perfect to listen to while doing nothing else, just visiting that isolated world.
There are so many different kinds of atmospheres in ambient music, I love to get lost into those albums.

Nice! A Loscil bump!
I've only checked a couple Loscil albums, but I've been meaning to go into more of them. Should do that soon!

Well I only know Endless Falls and Submers but both are precious gems atmosphere-wise.
Does anyone know how to get the vinyl only songs Graupel and Kinematics as mp3? I really need them but I don't have something to play vinyls with and don't want to spend much money just for those 2 songs. I'd be thankful to have them!

Hmm. Maybe you could look for a programme that lets you download stuff from YouTube? There's many programmes for that, and some also let you download audio only.

I already know a site where you can download youtube mp3 files (and mp4 video files). The problem is, both songs, Graupel and Kinematics, aren'T on Youtube, at least I can't find them there.

Ooh, yeah, that complicates things. In that case I'm not sure man! Are they on Bandcamp or something?

Only the CD version of Endless Falls is on bandcamp, I tried that too, I know how to download songs from there as they have good sound quality on bandcamp.
I mean I'm thankful I have Endless Falls, and I don't know if having those two bonus songs (they'd play before the last song The Making Of Grief Point) would interrupt the nice flow it has with just the 8 standard tracks, but if there's a song named "Graupel" I have to get it! :-D

Haha, well, I'm afraid I don't know how either then...
