are they one of the reigning forces in contemporary prog metal? certainly, right up there with dark tranquility, maudlin, and dream theater, for better or for worse.

and uhm, yes my argument against this album is that it's sloppy, poorly produced, and the musicianship is laughable, which is kind of sad considering that they didnt even play their own instruments. and most of this record's success was based on their IMAGE. this group is essentially a poorly assembled project consisting of rich white kids who they dressed up as "nonconformists" and utilized them as a social experiment. even if this band had any talent, theyre completely full of shit as a whole, completely and totally fake punk.

Taylor's got it in one. This is punk, original punk. It's not supposed to be spit shine perfect on the production, that's the whole appeal of it.



You mention "rich white kids", three of the members (i'll give you names if you want) were working class teenagers struggling to make end's meat while working in a band called The Strand. The first time they met Johnny he was wearing a t shirt held together by safety pins, and that wasn't a fashion statement either.



Don't comment on things you have absolutely no idea about, it really makes you look quite the fool.

All in all this album is pretty lolworthy, absolutely no musicianship on display here, and please dont say its because its "punk," thats no excuse for having a bassist that doesnt know how to play in the slightest.
