I mean, this is probably superior instrumentally, but Ten just speaks to me in a way words can hardly describe.

Well, Vedder's a great vocalist, but I agree that Cornell had more range.

"Half" is prob the weakest track on here though.

I think that Cornell has the most unique and identifiable voice out of the two. But these days Cornell has lost his voice and Vedder still sounds more or less the same as he did back in the 90's.

Now on a purely instrumental level, I gotta lean more towards Soundgarden. They have more speed and better soloing, leaning more towards metal at times, while Pearl Jam has slower and catchier material.

Basically I feel that if they weren't both from Seattle in the late 80's/early 90's, no one would even bother comparing the two because they are so different.

This is really good but not quite a 5 for me. Within Soundgarden's discography, or even within grunge, it's probably a 5, but overall i'd say it would land more towards a 4.2 or so.

Yeah lot's of good stuff here. Not a single weak track, aside from Black Hole Sun being overplayed, but it's still good.

The riffs just feel better with each listen. I'm gonna have to jam some Ozzy-Era Sabbath soon so that all this makes more sense to me.
