Try it and compare it too this and Pray For Villians, HUGE difference.
Bass guitar aside, there's no bass whatsoever.

Oh, and, on the subject of bass, the drummer obliterates his double-bass pedals enough to compensate for it.

Yeah, it's a really shoddy mix on that album.
Few others i've picked up on are:
Constitution of Treason - God Forbid
The Infection - Chimaira (The therimin still shines through though)
Anthems of Rebellion - Arch Enemy

Ok, I'm going to check out Chimaira simply because they use a therimin, that sounds pretty epic.
You've also reminded me to get into Arch Enemy more, one of my mates has been pestering me for weeks to do it and I just haven't gotten around to it.

She's pretty beastly though. Johan was pretty shit, but the music's gotten progressively worse since Angela jumped on board.

The default review is the one that is considered the best by the community, I suspect you got it because you got more pos votes than the other guy. Well the whole story with default reviews is a bit shady. Your version is logical but it isn't always like that. Just, for example, skim through some old Korn or Unwritten Law or In Flames or
Disturbed reviews where you can clearly see some tbt's are the defaults that are much worse than some other reviews for that album. It's a weird system, and i personally don't know how exactly does it work as it's pretty controversial at times. Sometimes it changes defaults automatically based on which review is better, sometimes it doesn't.And their first album....well, maybe Metalstyles next review perhaps?? may very well be as the default for it now isn't the best imaginable haha
